Four people were injured on Friday in an exchange of fire between two groups.
The incident that was initially seen as political rivalry but was later attributed to old enmity. The injured men were taken to the district headquarters hospital, where they were reported to be in critical condition.
Station House Officer Sub Inspector Ubaidur Rehman of Madina Town police said that Zafar Iqbal, a resident of Gatwala, was irrigating his field, when Faqir Husain and some accomplices came and questioned him about his new servant he had hired at the farm.
Iqbal told them to leave saying it was none of their business.
This led to harsh words between them and Iqbal and his associates shot at the visitors. The men shot back. Four of them- Iqbal, Javaid, Muhammad Sarwar and Abbas Kumhar- were injured. The rest of the men fled.
