A man was beaten to death on Sunday by three unidentified people in Rahim Yar Khan.
Division-B police said the deceased was a money lender and had apparently been killed by some men he had been dealing with.
They said they were informed that the body of Abdul Kareem, a resident of Bahar Khaki Colony, had been discovered at his house. It was seized and sent for a post-mortem examination. The investigation officer said that the there were bruises all over the body. He speculated that the man had been beaten.
Police said a case had been registered on the complaint of his grandson, Umar Farooq.
The complainant said his grandfather lived alone in the house.
On Sunday, he said, some neighbours had called him to say that his grandfather had been found dead.
Police said no one had seen anyone entering or leaving the house. They said the deceased owned 20-acre land in the area and that the murder could be a result of some property dispute. They said they were looking for the suspects.
