The Lahore High Court has sent a reference to the Punjab Bar Council for initiating action against four lawyers for allegedly assaulting a judge.
Lahore Senior Civil Judge Chaudhry Farrukh Hussain had earlier sent a complaint to the LHC regarding Advocates Syed Jawad Raza, Sheikh Nadeem Anjum, Fayyaz Ali Butt and Malik Javed Sabir.
The judge said that the four lawyers appeared before him in a case on July 15. After he passed an order that went against their case, Raza started shouting at him, he said. The advocate used abusive language and threatened him, he said. He also used abusive language about the district and sessions judge and the Lahore High Court, he said. The judge alleged that Raza, Nadeem and Sabir later assaulted him and used criminal force against him while also damaging public property. They abused his father and forefathers and boasted that no court could dare pass an order against them, he said.
