As many as eight development projects have been planned to turn the ancestral village of Arfa Karim into a model village, District Coordination Officer Najam Ahmad Shah said on Saturday.
He was speaking at a meeting to review the projects.
The DCO was told that a monument would be built at Arfa Karim’s grave to pay tribute to her services in the information technology sector. In addition to the monument, a girl’s degree college, up-grade of girls’ schools and basic health units and construction of roads are planned.
The DCO asked the officers concerned to complete the projects in time.
