An additional district and sessions judge has directed the Lower Mall SHO to address a petitioner’s claim that three men ‘stole’ her nephew’s blood in collusion with staff at Munshi Hospital, leaving him in poor health.
Karima Bibi submitted that Fayyaz Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed and Qurban had told her nephew Ali Raza that they could get him a job as a labourer in Dubai at a salary of Rs50,000 per month, but he needed to first send a blood sample to the employer for testing.
The petitioner said that they took Raza to Munshi Hospital where staff drew a bottle of blood from him. On August 4, she said, her nephew gave them two more bottles of blood, after which his health had deteriorated. She said that he was unable to walk and was currently in hospital for treatment.
She alleged that the men had had no intention of sending Raza abroad and had duped him in order to sell his blood.
She alleged that Munshi Hospital employees Muhammad Mubeen, Arshad and Kashi had colluded with the three men.
The petitioner asked the court to direct the Lower Mall SHO to register a case against the six. The court directed the petitioner to approach the SHO, who would address her grievance and proceed in accordance with the law.

Petitioner Muhammad Zahid submitted that one of his relatives needed a kidney transplant.
He said that Dr Zulifqar had told him that he would arrange for a donor if he was paid a million rupees.
Zahid said that he gave the doctor the money and was told that he would arrange the kidney in a few days. “I went to him several times but he would make excuses about why he had been unable to provide a donor,” he said.

He prayed the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against Dr Zulfiqar.
