Chief Secretary Javed Aslam on Wednesday presided over a meeting at the Civil Secretariat to review flood control and relief arrangements in the province.
The chief secretary reviewed arrangements made by various departments draining flood water.
Aslam warned against negligence in relief and rehabilitation activities for the flood affected. He said government functionaries should make efforts for permanent rehabilitation of the affected areas. He said district governments and the Health Department should make joint efforts to provide basic health facilities to flood victims at their camps through mobile teams.
He said that all departments should maintain close contact with each other to control any untoward situation.
