“The young doctors have not only embarrassed their profession but also the city by misbehaving with and attacking their senior doctors. It is hard to understand their motive,” PML-N Deputy Information Secretary Khurram Dastagir Khan said on Tuesday.
Taking to reporters, he said, Rs4.5 million from tax money was spent on each of the doctors who graduated from public medical colleges. “They might have issues with the government, but they should not create problems for the people whose taxes helped them become doctors.”
He said the doctors had benefited the most during the five years of PML-N government in the Punjab.
“They should ask their seniors. They will tell them that they were paid Rs2,500 per month during house job. Medical officers now get Rs40,000 per month,” he said.
He said doctors couldn’t refuse to treat even their enemies.
