The Anti Corruption Establishment on Saturday directed police to register cases against 45 educators on charge of submitting fake documents.
The action was taken on the application of an Education Department official filed three days ago with the ACE regional director, Muzaffar Khan Sial. The ACE director was informed that 45 female employees, including Assistant Education Officer Zaibun Nisa, had been appointed on fake documents.
Sial directed ACE Gujranwala Circle Officer Chaudhry Shahid Mehmood Ghumman to check their degrees and other documents.
On Saturday, the director was informed that the complainant’s claim was accurate. Separately, the anti-corruption officials filed cases against three sub inspectors, a head clerk and a patwari for receiving bribes.
Sub Inspector Rana Tehseen was charged with receiving Rs1.1 million, Sub Inspector Abdur Rasheed with Rs50,000, Sub Inspector Nawaz Tiwana of Sialkot with Rs25,000, Head Clerk Muhammad Arshad of Mandi Bahauddin with Rs4,000 and patwari Muhammad Anwar with Rs140,000.
