LAHORE: A consumer court on Friday issued notice to the proprietor of a mobile phone shop in a suit seeking Rs200,000 as damages. Muhammad Latif said he had purchased a mobile phone for Rs12,000 from Muhammad Zahid of Zahid Mobile.
He said Zahid had promised to take full responsibility if the phone malfunctioned. Latif said the phone’s battery malfunctioned the following day.
He said when he took the phone back to Zahid he refused to replace it. Zahid said the battery was in a good condition when he sold the phone. He said he had asked Latif to use a genuine phone charger. He said he was willing to replace the battery.
