RAWALPINDI: The police claim to have nabbed 28 drug peddlers, illegal arms holders and bootleggers from different localities of the city.
The police recovered 110 grams of hashish, 10 bottles of hard liquor, two litres of wine, three 30-bore pistols, 105 bullets, two stolen motorcycles and LPG refilling equipment from the possession of the arrested men, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
The Rawat police held Jameel for drug possession, while Abdul Zahar, Naeem Akhtar, Zahid Mahmood and Shehzad were rounded up for possession of unlicensed firearms.
The Westridge police nabbed Waqar, Sohail, Nadeem, Abdul Zahar and Khurram and recovered two stolen motorcycles.
The Ratta Amral police conducted a raid at an illegal LPG refilling shop and arrested Rashid and Sadam while confiscating decanting equipment.
Meanwhile, in a special operation, the Saddar Division police erected barricades on different roads and arrested 13 lawbreakers.
They also recovered 230 grams of hashish, 114 bottles of liquor, four 30-bore pistols, 12 rounds, one stolen vehicle and nine motorcycles.
