The Rawalpindi police arrested 63 people on Sunday during search operations in various localities of the garrison city.
A police spokesman said that during the operation, the police also arrested nine proclaimed offenders.
Furthermore, the police also impounded 13 cars and two motorbikes after the drivers failed to produce proper documentation.
He informed that aside from the regular police, commandos, Elite Force, ladies police and officials from the special branch also took part in the search operations.
During these operations, 421 people were checked, out of whom 63 who could not provide any proof of residence or other relevant documents were arrested.
The search operations were conducted at hotels, inns, auto workshops and small factories.
