The Punjab Nursing Examination Board on Monday announced the results of its annual examination 2013 in various nursing categories.
The results were formally announced by Health Secretary and chairman of the board Babar Hayat Tarrar who uploaded it on the board’s website.
According to the board, 1,935 candidates appeared in the first-year nursing examination and 1,847 passed.
Pass percentage was 95.35.
As many as 1,747 students appeared in second-year examination and 1,670 passed. Pass percentage for the second-year exams was 96. As many as 1,713 candidates out of 1,723 passed the final year examination resulting in the pass percentage of 99.
As many as 488 students took the nursing midwifery examination and 434 cleared the exam. Pass percentage was 88.93. As many as 343 students out of 405 passed the community midwifery examination showing pass percentage of 84. Similarly, out of 54, 42 students passed the LHV-2 examination. As many as 594 out of 621 passed LHV-3 examination.
Conference on anaesthesia, pain management
The Pakistan Society of Anaesthesiologists and the Society for Treatment and Study of Pain will hold a joint conference on anaesthesia, critical care and pain management on February 1 and 2. Professor Khalid Bashir, the PSA president, said delegates from all over the country and abroad were expected to participate in the conference. He said there would four pre-conference workshops, including one on acute life support and resuscitation for doctors working in district hospitals.
