“The National College of Arts has started student exchange programmes with several French and Iranian universities.
The college hopes to start similar projects with Swedish universities,” NCA Principal Murtaza Jafri told Ambassador from Sweden Thomas Rosander on Friday.
The ambassador visited the architecture, film and TV, interior design, visual arts, archives and media and fine arts departments.
The ambassador also visited the NCA gallery.
During his visit to the Archives Department, the ambassador was shown the work of NCA faculty and students.
He also signed the guest book.
Speaking on the occasion, Fine Arts Department head Bashir Ahmed said the NCA was the only institute in the world that awarded a four-year degree in miniature painting.
Proffesor Majid Saeed of the Film and TV Department said the department’s students had won 100 international awards.
He said that the department was also planning to start a theatre degree programme with an evening diploma.
The ambassador was presented souvenirs including a painting and the college catalogues.
