The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has issued notices to chronic defaulters to deposit dues by April 25 otherwise their connections will be severed.
FESCO Chief Commercial Officer Rasheed Aslam said on Friday that 26 government agencies including the Punjab Police, the Prisons Department, the Irrigation Department, the Livestock and Dairy Development Department, the Water and Sanitation Agency, the Health Department, the district government of Faisalabad, the Revenue Department, the Roads and Buildings Department owed the FESCO some Rs142.03 million.
He said chronic defaulters, including these departments had been issued final notices to deposit the outstanding dues by April 25. He said their electricity connections would be severed if they failed to do so.
Aslam said that the Punjab Police had to pay Rs17.54 million, the Prisons Department Rs6.29 million, the Irrigation Department Rs.15.4 million, the Livestock and Dairy Development Department Rs2.47 million, the WASA Rs5.7 million, the Bhakkar Health Department Rs1.05 million, the Bhakkar tehsil headquarters hospital Rs1.88 million, the district government of Faisalabad Rs2.14 million, the Faisalabad district and teshil headquarters hospitals Rs1.24 million, the Faisalabad Revenue Department Rs4.54 million, the Faisalabad Highways and Buildings Departments Rs2.96 million, Sargodha district and tehsil headquarters hospitals Rs1.54 million, the Jhang Livestock Department Rs1.05 million, the Jaranwala TMA Rs2.41 million, the Chiniot TMA Rs1.93 million, the Khushab TMA Rs2.3 million, the Mianwali TMA Rs5.16 million, the Issa Khail TMA Rs23.71 million, the Lyallpur Town TMA Rs4.46 million, the Iqbal Town TMA
Rs2.76 million and the Jinnah Town TMA Rs1.21 million.
