LAHORE:

A court ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday to investigate a case against actress Meera and her husband Captain Navid for a controversial video.

The additional district and sessions judge passed the order after police told him that was a case of cyber crime. Police also said they had no authority to put names on the exit control list (ECL). Shabbir Muhammad had filed a petition on January 20 that he had watched an “immoral clip” featuring the actress and her husband that he said tarnished the image of Pakistan. He requested the court to direct police to register a case against them and put their names on the ECL. The court had ordered police to register a case against the two if a cognisable crime was made out. The actress has said the video is a fake and an attempt to malign her. She has said that those who had uploaded the video on internet were trying to create problem for her.
