LAHORE:

The Punjab University decided on Thursday to remove NTS qualification for eligibility for admissions.  A meeting presided over by Vice Chancellor Mujahid Kamran decided that the condition of passing NTS tests to qualify for admissions at MPhil and PhD levels would not apply for the upcoming academic session.

The meeting was held at Al Raazi Hall of Undergraduate Study Centre which was attended by deans of various faculties and a large number of heads of departments, institutes, centres and colleges of Punjab University. The meeting decided that the departments would hold their own entry tests for MS/MPhil as prescribed in the admission regulations book 2014. The meeting decided that successful candidates’ academic record would count for the remaining 50 marks.
