Public education: Missing facilities will be provided at all schools, says minister

BAHAWALPUR: 

Cooperatives Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said on Friday education was a top priority of the government. He said it would provide missing facilities at schools.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a boundary wall built around Government Girls High School in 37BC East Abbasnagar.

He said the wall had been constructed at the cost of Rs570,000.

“Children are the future of our country. An educated generation must lead the country out of its current problems.”

The minister also had a meeting with the headmistress of the school regarding missing facilities.

She told him that the school needed drinking water, more classrooms, electricity and fans in classrooms.

Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said these were basic facilities that would be made available as soon as possible.

The minister said a laboratory for science students would be constructed.
