LAHORE:

Jamaatud Dawa leader Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Friday accused India and the United States of creating unrest in Pakistan.

Addressing the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA), he said successive governments had never taken Indian conspiracies seriously.

They had also failed to remove misunderstandings in Balochistan, he said.

“The unrest in Balochistan can be ended by removing the sense of deprivation among the Baloch.”

Saeed said after suffering a defeat in Afghanistan, the US and its allies had made Pakistan a battlefield. He said several Central Intelligence Agency operatives had been active in Pakistan.

“It is time to implement the Ideology of Pakistan to bring peace.”  He said people from all walks of life should fight terrorism.

He said he was not against trade with India. But, he said, the rulers should take into account the history of trade with India. He said Gen Raheel Sharif should “comply with Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s order of sending the army to Kashmir”.

LHCBA President Shafqat Mahmud Chauhan said a violation of constitutional limits had resulted into a clash among state institutions. He emphasised on the need for unity to steer the country out of the prevailing crisis.
