Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested 35 criminals, including four smugglers, and recovered items worth millions of rupees in the past 15 days.
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police stopped a vehicle at Thokar Niaz Baig and arrested two weapons smugglers and recovered 28 pump-action guns, 53 repeaters, 230 pistols and around 10,000 bullet rounds.
The Anti Vehicle Lifting Staff of the City Division police arrested three car lifters and recovered stolen motorcycles worth million of rupees from them. Sabzazar police arrested three members of a gang of robbers and recovered stolen motorcycles, six mobile phones and three pistols from them. CIA police arrested seven robbers, including a woman, involved in robbing houses and other heinous crimes. They recovered Rs450,000, a motorcycle and mobile phones.
