LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from Shadbagh station house officer in a petition seeking a case against three traffic wardens for allegedly beating two men.

Petitioner Mohsin Javed told the court that he and his father were going to Shadbagh Chowk on their motorbike when traffic warden Abdul Qadeer stopped them and demanded registration documents for the motorbike. He said when they gave him the documents the warden said the motorbike’s indicators were broken. He said they requested the warden to let them go as they had all the documents but he started abusing and beating them. He said later, two other wardens reached there and beat them. He said the police had refused to register a case and asked the court to order registration of  a case against the wardens.
