LAHORE:

A newly installed tube-well and a water filtration plant had become operational at the Lahore General Hospital (LGH), said Anjum Habib Vohra, principal of the Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI), on Sunday.

The LGH’s Patients Welfare Society had installed the Rs7 million water facility using donations from philanthropists, Vohra told a meeting of the Patients Welfare Society. He said a water filtration plant would also be installed at the PGMI. He said CCTV cameras were being installed at several hospital blocks to monitor the staff’s performance.

He said those who spent their time and wealth on human welfare were the assets of society. He said donations were being spent transparently and praised office-bearers of Patients Welfare Society for their efforts to serve humanity.
