Minister for Anti-Terrorism Colonel Shuja Khanzada said on Wednesday that the provision of timely assistance to the displaced population of North Waziristan was a big challenge. He said the government was utilising all resources at its disposal to cope with it. The minister was speaking to journalists at his office.
Khanzada said that all ministers had been directed to provide the internally displaced persons (IDPs) with all kinds of possible assistance. He said that assisting the IDPs was a religious, national and moral obligation. The minister said that Pakistanis should collectively help the displaced persons to make them feel at home. Khanzada said that as a retired army man, he was ever ready to combat terrorists who threatened the country.
