FAISALABAD: Minister for Food Bilal Yasin said on Friday the government was working to discourage profiteering and hoarding.
Talking to newsmen during a visit to a Ramazan Bazaar, he said arrangements for Ramzan Bazaars were being supervised and the chief minister, provincial ministers and members of parliament were also visiting them.
He said increase in flour price in the general market would not be tolerated and the Food Department had a sufficient stock of wheat for food security.
Earlier, he checked quality of various edible items and said the government was providing relief to people through Ramazan Bazaars.
The minister went to Ramazan Bazaar at Riaz Shaid Chowk Islam Nagar, Ramzan Bazar Faiza-e-Madina Chowk Susan Raod and inspected quality of vegetables, fruits, pulses, meat and other food items on different stall.
