LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz MPA Khurram Gulfam passed away on Tuesday at the Services Hospital in Lahore, Express News reported.
Gulfam was admitted to the hospital for removal of a tumor in his stomach. However, due to complications in the surgery, he slipped into a coma.
The doctors had declared his condition critical on July 11.
The relatives of the MPA had earlier blamed doctors of carelessness and claimed that Gulfam’s condition had worsened owing to their negligence.
Gulfam hailed from Sheikupura and received his early education from Aitchison College, Lahore. He had also worked as a lawyer and an agriculturist. His father was also a member of the Punjab Assembly from 1985 to 1988.
