The 49th passing-out parade of police cadets was held here on Saturday. As many as 849 cadets from 17 districts of the Punjab participated in the parade after receiving a six-month training.
Addressing a ceremony on the occasion, Shahid Ali, the top cadet, said he would fight criminals in his district and work to raise the dignity of Pakistan.
Muhammad Sabir, another cadet, said the police could secure a niche in people’s hearts by serving them and adopting a positive attitude.
The cadets also took an oath to serve citizens, follow discipline and be fair and fearless.
Additional Inspector General (Training) Mubarik Ali Athar said it was the police’s duty to protect the life and property of citizens. He praised the cadets for their zest.
