The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 18 buildings on Thursday over non-payment of commercialisation fee. The Authority also demolished five structures which had been constructed in violation of building bye-laws.
The LDA Staff sealed five premises in the New Garden Town area.
Buildings on Plot No 10-B, 11 and 12 of Aibak Block, Plot No 8-A-I of Aurangzeb Block and Plot No 14 of Tariq Block.
Nine buildings were sealed in Faisal Town’s A Block. These included properties on Plot Nos 10, 67, 72, 73, 145, 149, 151, 514 and 516. The LDA staff also sealed property No 14 of L Block in Model Town Extension and three properties in Quaid-i-Azam Town with the numbers 22-2-C-II, 59-17-B-I and 20-17-B-I.
The Town Planning Wing of the LDA demolished five buildings.
The Lahore Development Authority staff dismantled two under-construction structures at Shama Chowk and Muslim Town Chowk on Ferozepur Road because they were obstructing the flow of traffic.
A showroom on Plot No 165 of the Board of Revenue Scheme, Johar Town, was demolished along with a commercial plaza which was being constructed on Plot No 407 and 408 of E-Block, Johar Town, opposite Jinnah Hospital.
