FAISALABAD: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in collaboration with the World Bank (WB) is launching a potable water supply and sewerage project for the areas of the city that lack the facility.
Wasa Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz told The Express Tribune that a World Bank team was expected to visit Faisalabad in a few days to ascertain the feasibility of the project. He said a citizen liaison forum would also be formed at Wasa French Project Point on Samandri Road to conduct survey of neglected areas of Faisalabad.
Aziz said that Wasa had chalked out a number of welfare projects, but could not executed them due to lack of funds. He said the WB would now financially assist Wasa to execute and complete the project.
