Development: ‘Complete projects by June 15’

FAISALABAD: 

Divisional Commissioner Mushtaq Ahmed Anjum has directed the officers concerned to ensure completion of all on-going uplift schemes in the division by June 15.

He was presiding over a meeting on Tuesday to review the progress of development schemes. He said that officers concerned should chalk out a schedule for completion of all development schemes and that they should regularly monitor the speed of work and the quality of material used.

The meeting was told that Rs120 billion was being spent on 130 schemes, including water supply, sewerage and construction of roads and buildings under the annual development programme in the division.

The commissioner said that 671 uplift schemes had been completed at a cost of Rs4.13 billion from the MNAs’ and MPAs’ grants. Work on 79 other schemes was on-going.  DCOs Najam Ahmed Shah, Maqbool Ahmed and Dr Farah Masood and Director (Development) Nabeel Ahmed were also present.
