LAHORE:
A man on Wednesday sued the proprietor of a furniture shop for selling him a “defective” dining table.
Khalid Mehmood said Muhammad Asif- the proprietor of Italian Furniture- had delivered a dining table other than the one he had chosen, and overcharged him for it. He has sought Rs630,000 in damages against Asif.
Mehmood claimed that “substandard, imbalanced” table was delivered to him.
He said after paying for the table, he had found out that the same table was being sold at a lower price at other shops. He said he had gotten in touch with the respondent who ignored his complaints. A consumer court has issued a notice to the proprietor for January 28.
