Lahore High Court’s Multan bench on Friday ordered the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to resume supply of gas to CNG stations for two days a week in Multan.
The petition was filed by Advocate Muhammad Ali Siddiqi on behalf of owners of over 200 CNG stations in the region.
Justice Ibadur Rehman Lodhi said that all CNG stations in the Multan region were entitled to gas supply following an order by the Islamabad High Court on February 6, 2014 – giving the relief to fuel stations in Rawalpindi-Islamabad.
Lodhi ordered the SNGPL not to create any problems for CNG stations not party to the case before Islamabad High Court. The judge directed an additional registrar of the court to convey the order to the Multan SNGPL general manager.
The SNGPL was directed to submit a compliance report on March 13, 2014.
