Fort Road Food Street will offer breakfast between 7 am and 11:30 from February 10, The Express Tribune has learnt.
The menu will include daas kulcha, nihari, bong paye, siri paye, naan chanay, lassi, halwa puri, and seven types of paratha.
Marketing and Tourism Director Asif Zaheer told The Express Tribune
Media and Marketing Deputy Director Tania Qureshi said “Visitors will come across all types of traditional breakfast items.” Muhammad Faisal, owner of the Fort View Restaurant, said he was hopeful that the initiative would attract more tourists and help promote traditional food.
Haveli Restaurant’s manager, Ahmed, said the Food Street had not offered breakfast meals fare in the past. Saquib Hussain, a visitor, said he had regularly visited the food street and brought friends from other parts of the country as well. He expressed excitement about the new addition.
